Resort Information (Updated as of August 25th, 2008)

Come see it in person!

The Continental Airline Hawaii Guidebook is a good resource for you to get your resort planning started. Obviously, there are many hotel options available in Hawaii.

If you want highend luxury, see the following luxury hotels/resorts below:

Entry Way
The Four Seasons Resort is located 5 minutes drive from the wedding ceremony location in Wailea. This place is one of the VERY best resort in Maui. Services are exceptional but they do charge $14 a day parking for all hotel guests. This resort is located in the Wailea area of Maui.

5-Stars Service but $$

The pool fountain and cabanas are pretty sweet (no resort fee). Every 20 minutes someone would come by to offer icewater, cool towel, evian spray, and even popsicles. I guess that is why they charge so much. Four Seasons Maui Videos

Just so you know, even if you are not staying here...you can park your car at the visitor parking area (free) and then walk around their beautiful grounds. The Four Seasons restrooms are very clean and there are (free) refreshments available located by the lobby area. The staff really do not bother you unless you behave badly or look lost. I am sorry but the pool and cabanas are reserved for hotel guests only.

There are 2 WESTIN RESORTS in MAUI
(Westin Villa Maui and Westin Maui)
Southside (Westin Villa) Pool Area
Staying at the Westin Villa is quite special. Located in Ka'anapali and only minutes from Lahaina, it is like living at home but you are away from home. The drive to the Wailea area from Kaanapali is approx. 40 mins.

The Westin Villa offers free parking, free WIFI, & no resort fee. In addition, the Westin Villa has a 'FREE' shuttle that takes you in between the other SPG hotels (Westin Hotel & Sheraton Hotel) including Mala Wharf (an outdoor shopping mall with cool places to hangout) and Lahaina (there are 2 supermarkets located in Lahaina - Safeway and Foodland where you can purchase reasonable priced foods & drinks *See supermarket customer service for a free discount card).

Facing the ocean from the lobby

The Westin Villa is a relatively 'NEW' family oriented resort/timeshare (opened in 2003) and is quite large. It is divided in 2 areas (Northside & Southside). Part of the Northside is still under construction as of 2007. There are 2 huge swimming pools & 4 outdoor jacuzzis.

Suggestion: Go to the Northside if you do not want to see or hear kids. The Southside pool is sometimes crowded with kids because there is a water slide there.

Reminder: There is no late check-out allowed but if your flight is late, you can request the hotel to give you a pass so you can hangout until you are ready to go. You are welcome to use the hotel's amenities (including fitness center showers, sauna, tv room, game room, & the gym lockers).

Each Westin studio suite/room has a small kitchen area - a dish washer (dishes included), a washer/dryer (detergent included), a microwave, & a fridge (with an icebox). There are also BBQ gas grills located throughout the resort just in case you want to grill yourself something to eat. Simply go to the hotel general store and they will give you the necessary tools to BBQ. This is really cool because you can go to the supermarket during the day and purchase a six-pack of Bud and then grill yourself a T-bone for dinner. Just remember to bring your own bottle of Peter Luger BBQ sauce & salt/pepper.

IMPORTANT ADVICE:Do not attend the free Westin timeshare sessions even if they offer you a free trip or hotel discounts! Each timeshare session takes at least 3-4 hours of your time.

Besides the Westin Villa, the Westin Maui is another outstanding resort located in Ka'anapali. Unlike the Westin Villa, the Westin Maui gives you the feeling of staying at an highend hotel. You get all the services and amenities of a Westin plus the location is perfect if you want to enjoy Maui like a 'TRUE' tourist. Heck...check out their video #1

Reminder: This resort does charge a $20 resort fee per day and parking. However, the pools are amazing!

Westin Maui - video #2 Yeah...you will like the water slide very much.

Just newly renovated but $$
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua has just been totally renovated and has re-opened. As far as I know...this hotel is one of the best in Maui but can get quite windy. In addition, it is a track if you want to go to the beach because the resort is located on top of a hill. Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton - I would pick the Four Seasons.

If you want to have an outstanding dining experience in Maui. The PLANTATION HOUSE in Kapalua is your ticket. It is located in the Plantation Golf Course clubhouse above Kapalua. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Remember, it is also $$$$. Then again, you deserve it!
